This is true i must spend more time on here, im doing a small x-stitch design today so will post up-date of it later then maybe that will get me going again as i have missed being here,

Getting ready

Getting Ready well that is the plan i hope,

After last winter months just gone when it was much colder and snow was the worse i have seen since i moved here 20 years ago, my plan for the next few months is to make lots of blankets , some will be for us and some for charity as i will carry on making the bits and bobs i make for charity groups, there has been more charity groups i like to help in the next few months some animal other more for people young and old,

As im not that great at quilting yet still got lot to learn i cant make the quilts for charity but send things towards them.

Im also going to learn how to crochet better as can only do the one kind of square which is in the picture. I will update more photos later , xxx

Renishaw Hall, Classic Car/Bike show. and sewing week

What a week been getting back into stitching and now picking up my knitting hobby again after years of not knitted since my 2 was tiny,

Going to start small with the knitting till i get used to it so making some squares and go from there see how it goes,

Also done a charity square for Jane Jibb charity,

Yesterday had a great time out at the local Renishaw Hall car show, im very much a MG fan and Jeep fan , and my 4x4 .

Time goes so fast.

I need to spend more time on here , but life just seams to be so busy , but slowly I'm getting more sewing things done, here is just a few things i have done and doing now, also started a new x-stitch for Savannah show you that later when i have done a bit on it,

Not much on the sewing side of life to chat about, as this time of year garden is taking my time up, and time of year to spring clean, so only a photo of some small bits i have done last few weeks, soon i hope to be back sewing more,

We had a great time out at Rufford Abby Park on monday, it was a lovely sunny morning to walk around this place, its been over 6 years since i been , hope to go again , xx

So Busy and i have been Baking

Hi All,

Sorry i have not been here for a very long time, life at home has been busy, not getting much x-stitch done just a few like these little things to keep me happy till i have more time.

I have started baking more too and plan to do much more in the future.

Had a good christmas, just apart from all being unwell with chesty colds,
With the weather being so cold not been doing any fabric sewing as so cold in the room where i do my sewing, so have been spending more time on my x-stitch, here is a few up-dates,

Lets start with some nice things,

Well i have been doing a little x-stitch when ever i can, had the odd day when i was not up to any x-stitch, but the bit i have done i have enjoyed,

Like to show you a new design i got few weeks back, Bald Eagle Portrait, i got this chart from a facebook friend of mine who has a web site where you can order some wonderful animal portraits from,

I liked the look of Marks , Bald Eagle so treated myself to it,

Im doing it on 16 count aida, it will look great when done,

Well now for the other news, well im sure you all know Britain has had some snow, and i was not ready for it at all, i did not stock food up in time i had to wait till my monthly money went in 2 days after the snow which made it a night mare to get to shops,

Time for family

Hi All,

I have been stitching and doing some quilting but at moment i am not feeling up to much last few days,

My mum was taken ill wednesday nite and now in hospital, so hope you understand some times i need a bit of me time,

Little China, Elephant, Buttons,

Its been a mad house at home this week, not helped by the wind and rain, last week i had a small roof leak they came out to have a look added some stuff in the gap that the rain was coming though, they said see if that helps and if not will have to renew the seal again,

But after about 5 days i had to call them out again after more rain "Yep" its was coming in at same place again, but due to all damage to other homes around they are very busy and maybe a week before they get round to fixing it,

In between all this i have done some x-stitching on the Elephant and added some of the back stitch as i go along, this helps as there is a fair bit to do on this one, He got his 2nd eye now too, i might have to redo 1 eye as looks a bit odd.

More on little china, around the cats paws and more to the flowers, there is no way this will be done for xmas,

Any ideas what i can do with a load of buttons that is just sitting in a big tin, not sure what to do with them all, ?

I do hope everyone had a great Halloween ,
We had a wash out that evening here it rain so heavy just as we was going off trick and treating

Done lots on the little china this past week , the cats paws did stress me out the day i did this i was feeling very tired , just kept making mistake's on them, must have UN-picked at least 3 times till i got it right, , i can see me not getting this done in time for the Christmas present, May try again later today,

Got my hexi quilt out yesterday trying to get ahead with this too, Slow due to all done by hand, but it will be great when done,



Got the Christmas Angel done, i have left the border off as im going to make this into a wall hanging, glad this is done in time for Christmas,

One quilt design i like to do in the future is the Dear Jane quilt, next year start maybe i hope,

Just a bit more

In to the second week of my 2 half term, they have a extra week as they have been building a new school next door to the one they are at, so now this school is ready the school has taken this half term plus a extra week to move all items out of old into the new, Moving house is stress full i wonder what stress they have doing all the school stuff,

The new building does look great and hope it all runs well when they go back to school.

And just a little up-date of the x-stitch i have worked on this week Little china,

Yesterday had a bad day with it, kept un-picking a section over and over again, might be due to my eyes being tired as i was up at a very early time that day way to early in fact 3am and for no true reason just could not sleep, but in the end after a few attempts to get it right it was working much better,

And just a little bit more done on the xmas angel, still like to get this done before xmas as like to make it into a wall hanging,

No fabric sewing at all this week due to hands still sore and when kids are at home cant sit for long near the machine, have more time when they are at school or out for the day,

My week has been a good one with my cross-stitching and fabric sewing, one good thing i found was some good sheets that will be ideal as backing for my quilt tops, all was double sized from our local charity shop,

Have done a lot on the Christmas angel, going to give this a rest for few days due to working on little china for a while it was nice to get it out after a long time away,

Some of you know i get bad hands and this cold weather does not help them much at all, i have found it painful just to do simple jobs and to drive car well that's very much i cant do till they are bit better, the good thing is i can sew as that's mostly using my finger tips, using sewing machine is also good as it does all the work, still struggle with holding scissors thou,

Just a small finish .

Just a small finish to show you today, The Somebunny will be going to Jane`s charity group , and the love heart square not sure what will happen to this yet , still in its early days,

No big news really at this moment its been a lazy day for me trying to take some relaxing time off, i may be here for a while instead of my Facebook page,

What i have done

Well most of last week we had some great weather, and on the Tuesday and Wednesday i had 2 trips out on a date, and the other days was just normal doing the usual things at home and lots of sewing in-between,


more done on the Angel of hope,

More done on the xmas angel,

This one will be for charity.
May make this owl into a cushion or add it to a quilt, not sure yet,
